Because 52 weeks divided by 4 is 13, not 12. A plan billed every four weeks charges you thirteen times a year. At $29.95 that is $389.35 rather than the $359.40 the same figure would cost billed monthly. It is disclosed, it is just not the sum most people do in their head.

Is there a resume builder that does not auto-renew?

Ours does not, on the 90-day Campaign: it is one payment, it ends by itself, and there is nothing to cancel. Our month-to-month plan does renew until you cancel, because that is what a monthly plan is. Several other builders offer one-time or lifetime options too, so check the renewal terms rather than the headline price.

Can I get a resume free without paying at the download?

Yes, here, and on several others. Build, score and export your main resume free, with no card and no email wall. The test worth running on any builder is to find the export button before you invest an hour of writing, because that is where the charge usually appears.

Is SpartanResume the cheapest resume builder?

We do not know, and will not claim it. We have read a handful of pricing pages first-hand, not the whole category, and prices change. This is the part almost nobody does in their head. A plan billed every four weeks charges you thirteen times a year, because 52 divided by 4 is 13. A plan billed monthly charges you twelve.

At $29.95 that is $389.35 a year against the $359.40 the same number would cost monthly. Nothing is hidden and nothing is against the rules. It is simply not the figure your head reaches for when you read a price that looks monthly.

How to check any resume builder before you pay

Four questions. They take about a minute and they work on any of them.

Can you export before you pay? The most common charge in this category arrives at the download button, after the work is done. Find the export before you invest an hour.
What does it renew at, and how often? Read the renewal price and the billing period together. "Every 4 weeks" and "monthly" are different products.
How do you cancel? If you cannot find the answer before paying, that is the answer.
What do you keep afterwards? A resume you cannot export once the plan lapses was rented, not made.

Where this product is worse

A comparison that only flatters the side writing it is an advertisement. So: we are new, and we do not have the template library, the language coverage or the years of polish the established builders have. If you want fifty designs to choose between, they are better at that than we are.

What we will not do is charge you at the download, renew a plan you thought had ended, or quote you a figure without saying where it came from. If those are the things that decided it for you, that is what we built.
